David Bestock works with Fred Northup as an auctioneer, host, and emcee. David’s wit and coolness under pressure make him a great asset on any team. His 25 years of experience in improv comedy paired with a career in nonprofits allows him to adapt to the needs of each event and steer things towards greatness.

“Working with Fred is fantastic. Everything is professional and elegant, and we get to raise some serious money for some very worthy causes. I love helping foster a culture of generosity and gratitude, and auctioneering is a wonderful blend of my skills and passion. I love this work.”

David’s heart and authenticity shine through, and clients love working with him.  David has lead successful events for Arts Corps, Woman in the Woods, FEEST, Seattle Public Theater, and more. He has assisted Fred at events including Childhaven, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, Museum of Flight, Seattle Works, and Bellevue Boys & Girls Club.

When not auctioneering, David is the Executive Director of the Delridge Neighborhoods Development Association, a multi-service nonprofit in West Seattle. He also performs improv comedy with Unexpected Productions, and makes magic with Lucia Neare’s Theatrical Wonders.  Other performing credits include ACT Theatre, Centerstage, Wing-It Productions, Tales of the Alchemysts, Parley, and more.  He co-wrote, produced, and performed in Wisemen, an original musical comedy at ACT, and he continues to write and perform.  He used to be a national champion ultimate frisbee player, and he loves yams, plantains, and avocados.
